I met Haylie towards the beginning of 2016.
We sat down in a (my favorite) local bakery, Indulge which is located inside Papa Joe's in Blowing Rock, NC.
Haylie had along her mom and one of her sisters. They were all beautifully dressed and soft spoken and Haylie was this happy and talkative young lady that was so excited in planning her upcoming wedding. I think we were all in such a great mood and conversation just fell in place that we forgot to order drinks!
-I think I literally jumped when Haylie said they had decided to take my recommendation and have Indulge made cupcake creations at their wedding (photos will be in their wedding blog).
It is a rare treat to just meet someone and know you could have talked for so much longer than allowed about their wedding, her details, her family, how they met... it was all going in the right direction. I had to work with them!
Lucky for me, Haylie got back in touch with me and we finalized a few details and we were officially on for July 9th, 2016!
These are her Bridal Portraits, taken just days before she walked barefoot down the grass-grown path to Zachary.
I think the love-struck bride was present in her photos, and I cannot wait to hear how Zachary reacted over her!
Because- I know he waited until after their wedding Saturday before he would sneak a peak at her in her dress! What a sweet guy!
Haylie is rustic, gentle, kind, and much like an open field of flowers, where the rest of the world and mountains grow around her.
I have grown to appreciate her, have her in front of my camera, and be thankful to witness her and Zachary's journey to their marriage!
Best yet, she is moving closer to me! I have openly called her out at their wedding that I plan to see them soon!
These are the ones, the couples, that I get up for, believe in myself more for, and persevere. A photo isn't great until you feel why it was worth taking. She has been worth all the photos!
I cannot wait to share your adventurous wedding in a few short days!

Nicole
