A couple months ago I got the best e-mail from a bride, She was looking for a photographer for her and her fiancé. Obviously, I was already happy to get involved because I love photographing couples on their wedding day, but when she told me who her fiancé was, it was like getting birthday cake for a second time that week.
I've known this old friend since I moved to North Carolina as a kindergartner. We went to school together all the way to graduation and then college!
I'll admit when we sat down for coffee and wedding details we began reminiscing long lost memories and funny stories from our school days, I was not sure I would be the one they wanted to hire after Lesley revealed my severe non-athletic abilities to Jessica and other some-what embarrassing moments I thought would never have been remembered! There were so many funny comments and it was just a great time! Lucky for me, I get to follow their journey this year as this beautiful love story spills over the top with lots of laughter, love and ...MARRIAGE!
I was stunned when I flipped back through my camera and saw all my favorites of these two. I say stunning because they make pinterest look second-rate next to their unfiltered love.
I loved laughing alongside them. I soaked up their lives & catching up on what accomplishments have come for them in the past years. They are artists, with their pallet board artwork over at Earth to Artsy (you should check them out)! I cannot wait to see what they come up with next...eagerly waiting!
Jessica has so many talents from massage therapy to making her own homemade vanilla extract. I cannot believe how she has time to do all she does AND make my pictures looks so pretty! And then we have Lesley & Jessica having another hobby making art work from pallets!
I'm over in the corner like, "yeah.. I have this camera...it works". And they are all over stone mountain being beautiful filling my frame like this is the easiest job in the world, putting me to shame! I never had so much fun. They are an amazing team. It was fun following them around all day for certain!
They live busy lives during the sunshine hours and by sunset they go settle in together at home with a view of stone mountain staring back at them. Talk about lovely...my gosh ladies! Does it get much better? I think not! So naturally, it only felt right to have their Engagement session near their homeplace, on Stone mountain!
Jessica & Lesley have joined hands and are planning their Fall wedding, and I have been asked to document their stunning wedding story!
Jessica & Lesley, congratulations! I wish you the best months of wedding planning that are quickly flying by~ I wish you so much laughter and love and I cannot wait to see you on your wedding day!
